As career women, it seems that we are always out in the public eye, so preparing to leave the house well put together is a must! However, as my favorite bible scripture says, ” Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. ” Proverbs 31:30

Do you wonder after reading this verse if our focus should be on our spiritual foundation vs. our makeup foundation? How about priming and preparing our hearts to receive the love of God and give that same love to others? How about being completely open with God about our flaws instead of concealing them like we do when we wear concealer makeup.

As a pageant queen, I am asked to be at multiple events, tv , radio shows, and photoshoots that at times give me no downtime to be just Rosie Moore. Anyone that knows me as Rosie Moore knows that for me wearing my shorts and flip flops is my downtime attire! But in those moments I am representing a brand I am the glamourous dressed up Rosie Moore. I use that brand to help promote The Gift of Life. I understand the struggles to always look our best. Today I wanted to share with my readers about focusing on our inward appearance. An example of how we focus on our inward appearance is how we choose to act on our words and how we treat others. What are we doing to serve others?

Read Proverbs 31 ( I copied it here for you). I know many of you are saying that you cannot live to the expectation of this Proverbs 31 Queen who is perfect. But guess what we are all a work in progress whether we are married with kids, married without kids, or single.
Epilogue: The Wife of Noble Character
10 [b]A wife of noble character who can find?
She is worth far more than rubies.
11 Her husband has full confidence in her
and lacks nothing of value.
12 She brings him good, not harm,
all the days of her life.
13 She selects wool and flax
and works with eager hands.
14 She is like the merchant ships,
bringing her food from afar.
15 She gets up while it is still night;
she provides food for her family and portions for her female servants.
16 She considers a field and buys it;
out of her earnings, she plants a vineyard.
17 She sets about her work vigorously;
her arms are strong for her tasks.
18 She sees that her trading is profitable,
and her lamp does not go out at night.
19 In her hand, she holds the distaff
and grasps the spindle with her fingers.
20 She opens her arms to the poor
and extends her hands to the needy.
21 When it snows, she has no fear for her household;
for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
22 She makes coverings for her bed;
she is clothed in fine linen and purple.
23 Her husband is respected at the city gate,
where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.
24 She makes linen garments and sells them,
and supplies the merchants with sashes.
25 She is clothed with strength and dignity;
she can laugh at the days to come.
26 She speaks with wisdom,
and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
27 She watches over the affairs of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her children arise and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:
29 “Many women do noble things,
but you surpass them all.”
30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
31 Honor her for all that her hands have done,
and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
According to 1 Peter 3:3-4 ” Your beauty should not come from outward adornments, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. 4 Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. “
What beauty in this verse! So what I gather about the Proverbs 31 woman is the following:
She is a faithful hard-working woman who gets up early; she is a career woman who is highly trained. She looks for different ways to bring income. She is respected by her husband and her children; she gives to the poor, she is planning for her future, she speaks wisdom, she fears the Lord, she is clothed with strength and dignity.
This is a woman that is not having a pity party or comparing her looks to others. She does the three things that the Lord commands, she serves the Lord, she loves others and her family, and she serves the poor.
So you are asking how can you become a Proverbs 31 woman who is of noble character?
